| but then again, i'm leaving home too....I can't even begin to tell you how hard last night was. Saying goodbye to those kids was one of the hardest things I've ever done. These past 9 months have been so amazing. Sure, It had its ups and downs but God has been there with me through it all. I have learned so much and I know that I am not at all the same person I was 9 months ago. My eyes have been opened to alot and I have been stretched! I hope I can go home and adjust quickly to busy life again, but I hope I do not forget the people I have gotten to know, or the lessons I have learned. Don't get me wrong, I am not totally sad, I am also very excited to be surrounded by my family and friends again, its just very bittersweet you know? anyways I should go make sure everything is packed and say my last goodbyes.... hope to see some of you soon! audrey lynn i will never forget the beauty of this land...
or the children...
till next time... | | |

| wow these past 3 weeks have just flown by! i'm settled back in down here and things are going really well. i celebrated my 20th birthday on the 20th. my friends helped me celebrate by taking me out to eat at a Mexican Restaurant and these guys made me where this huge dorky sombrero while they sang to me!! it was quite the experience!! then after that we went go-carting then hung out at the mall, so i had a really good day! also i'm now helping out with the 7 infants at fundaninos in the afternoons and weekends, so thats keeping me busy! a team from honeybrook was here this past week and i got to spend a day in Antigua with them. also had some good times talking and playing a hardcore game of basketball the one night!! i got a few bruises and hit a guy in the nose, but it was all good! sunday afternoon the team came over to fundaninos to play with the kids. the guys even got a soccer game together for the boys so us girls just did what we do best, cuddled with the kids and cheered the boys on! now its back to another week of the normal grind...i am really looking forward to Feb. 13th when my sisters and two friends come down, should be a good time!!! ok well here are some pics!!

Random Stuff

IT'S BETWEEN YOU AND GOD ...
People are often unreasonable,
Illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind,
People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful,
You will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building,
Someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
They may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
People will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
And it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
It is between you and God;
It never was between you and them anyway.
What I've Learned:
I've learned-
that no matter how much I care,
some people just don't care back.
I've learned-
that it takes years to build up trust,
and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned-
that it's not what you have in your life
but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned-
that you can get by on charm for about
fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned-
that you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.
I've learned-
that it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
I've learned-
that you can keep going
long after you can't.
I've learned-
that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.
I've learned-
that either you control your attitude
or it controls you.
I've learned-
that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.
I've learned-
that money is a lousy way of keeping score..
I've learned-
that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.
I've learned-
that sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me
the right to be cruel.
I've learned-
that true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I've learned-
that just because someone doesn't love
you the way you want them to doesn't
mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned-
that maturity has more to do with
what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned-
that you should never tell a child
their dreams are unlikely or outlandish.
Few things are more humiliating, and what
a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
I've learned-
that your family won't always be there for you.
It may seem funny, but people you aren't
related to can take care of you and love you
and teach you to trust people again. Families
aren't biological.
I've learned-
that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned-
that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by
others. Sometimes you are to learn to forgive
yourself.
I've learned-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned-
that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we
become.
I've learned-
that just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned-
that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.
I've learned-
that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a
secret. It could change your life forever.
I've learned-
that two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.
I've learned-
that even when you think you have no more
to give, when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.
I've learned-
that it's hard to determine where to draw
the line between being nice and not hurting
people's feelings and standing up
for what you believe.
I've learned-that sometimes you might not have all the answers and you might not know what the next step should be. That's when you've gotta take a leap of faith and know that God is either going to allow you to hit solid ground...or you're gonna learn to fly.
